Diamond Jubilee Celebrations |
|
To mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in the Parish, a number of events and activities are planned to take place over the first weekend in June 2012.
Saturday 2nd June
5.30pm - An aerial photo will be taken on Godstone Green of villagers standing in the shape of a crown and the number 60.
6.30pm - A free concert will be held on the Green by a five piece band called "The Radiators" bringing you the sounds of the sixties. Everyone is invited to bring their own chair & picnic or purchase a burger from the Lions stall and a drink from the outside bar. This is designed to be fun for all the family and will conclude by 9pm.
Sunday 3rd June
10.30am - A combined Songs of Praise Service on Godstone Green for the whole Parish to celebrate the event followed by "Out to Lunch" where once again everyone is welcome to bring their picnic lunch to the Green.
More details to follow but if you would like to contribute or get involved please contact John Quincey through the Parish office. |

Welcome to Godstone Parish Council. I hope you will find the site informative and helpful. It will take us some time to build the site so some of the headers will have little or no input at this time. With time and help from other local organisations, we will build and add items as we go along.
The Parish of Godstone lies within the district of Tandridge in the County of Surrey and is made up of the three villages of Godstone, South Godstone and Blindley Heath.
The council aims to preserve and make accessible to others the rural charm of our environment, whilst supporting and developing the different activities that village life has to offer all its residents.
The Council office is located at “The Bounty” to the rear of Godstone Green, as pictured right. |
